Roulette

Roulette is a popular game of all players, associated primarily with casinos. However, this game has a rich history that goes back to the end of the 18th century. A version of the roulette game was introduced in Paris, France, in the 18th century, but the French nobility only played it in those days. Today, Roulette is divided into American, French, and European.

Rules and Terminology

The game Roulette can play simultaneously up to 6 people. Each player receives chips of a particular denomination (depending on the size of bets at the table). Players make bets on the playing field, then spin the roulette wheel, in which the ball is launched. Having made several revolutions, the ball hits one of the numbered cells, thus determining the winning number.

Players who have made a winning bet receive a reward from the casino fund. All other (“unplayed”) bets go to the casino. The game is then repeated.

A newly joined player can start betting immediately if the table is open for betting. If the drum is already spinning, he will have to wait for the next round.

Terminology

Roulette is a game of chance, a rotating wheel with 36 sectors of red and black and 37-th green sector “zero” with the designation of zero, the green field with a marking of the numbers and chips for betting players.

Bankroll or bankroll is the money supply of player, i.e. all money which player can use while playing gambling but money which is on the table in the current game, Stake, and can be used at the moment, is only a part of player’s bankroll.

American Wheel – A roulette wheel with 38 numbers (numbers 0-36 and 00). The sequence of numbers, clockwise, starting with 0: 0, 28, 9, 26, 30, 11, 7, 20, 32, 17, 5, 22, 34, 15, 3, 24, 36, 13, 1, 00, 27, 10, 25, 29, 12, 8, 19, 31, 18, 6, 21, 33, 16, 4, 23, 35, 14, 2. The double zero (0 and 00) wheel appeared in Europe and in America. But Europeans prefer Roulette with one zero and Americans with two zeros. No reasonable explanation for the Americans’ preference is known.

Biased Wheel – A roulette wheel with a defect causes some numbers or groups of numbers to fall out more often than they should, according to probability theory. It is a wheel defect for the House, but for the player, it is a gift from fate.

Cold Table – Table at which players are losing. This table can be cold only for you – at this table, you lose, and others win. Cold tables should be avoided in any case.

Dead Table – A table ready to play but with no players at it. These tables are best to be avoided if it’s a Cold Table as well.

Spin – One game. The result of one rotation of the roulette wheel.

En Prison, Prison – Rule in Roulette. All bets on simple odds are placed in “prison” when a zero occurs. The next spin determines their fate. If the bets won – they are returned to the player, if lost – go to the institution. When falling out, zeroes are the following variations of the rules: “Las Vegas” – all simple odds bets are lost; “Atlantic City” or “Surrender” – half of the simple odds bets are returned to the player. Different casinos have different combinations of “Prison” and “Atlantic City” in the rules, and these are all referred to as prison. With the “En Prison” rule, making what is called an ET bet is more profitable than a two-dozen bet.

ET bet – A bet on 24 numbers, numbers 1 through 24 or 13 through 36. When playing 1-24 3/4 bets are placed on LESS and 1/4 bet on SIXLINE (19,20,21,22,23,24). When playing 13-36 3/4 bets are placed on MORE and 1/4 bets on SIXLINE (13,14,15,16,17,18)—used when En Prison is in the rules.

French Wheel, European Wheel – Roulette Wheel with 37 numbers, the numbers 1-36 and zero(0). A clockwise sequence of numbers, starting with 0: 0, 32, 15, 19, 4, 21, 2, 25, 17, 34, 6, 27, 13, 36, 11, 30, 8, 23, 10, 5, 24, 16, 33, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9, 22, 18, 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3, 26.

Grind Joint – A casino designed for the Low Roller.

Pinching – Removing chips from the table after an unsuccessful bet. It can be tried if you want adventure. Doesn’t work in online casinos.

No more bets, Rien Ne Vas Plus (French) – bets no longer accepted

Scam – Any way to defraud a player or casino.

Short Run, Short-Term – Playing on a small number of spins, the probability fluctuation reigns.

Dealer’s Signature – The Dealer’s unconscious feature of throwing the ball, by which you can predict the result of the next spin. Jerry Patterson (a very cool roulette man): “Roulette is a game of physics and mechanics, but not a game of chance. The main factor determining the result of each spin is the Dealer…” Manoia (very famous roulette player in Runet): “If a dealer could do something, affect the game in any way, then his relatives, friends, and acquaintances would sit at the table against him… A croupier is a lackey in a casino, a nobody who has no word.”

Spread – The difference between a player’s maximum and minimum Bet.

Kelly Criterion – Mathematical formula for calculating the size of the Bet depending on the money supply, size and probability of winning. Theoretically makes it impossible to lose all of the cash collateral and ensures that the cash collateral grows as fast as possible in a series of winnings. It cannot be used in gambling in an ideal form because of the impossibility of infinite split betting. According to the Kelly criterion in, roulette betting is not necessary at all.

Blackjack

Blackjack is a simple card game played by more people than Roulette, craps and baccarat combined. Success at blackjack depends primarily on luck, but strategy is also an element. In this article, you’ll learn how to get luck on your side in one of the most popular games.

Rules and Terminology

Baccarat – a fairly simple game, it requires players to put only a bet, so the game takes on a characteristic intensity that does not bore the players with expectations; everything happens automatically, according to the established rules. The main objective for all players is to guess who the Dealer or the player will win, or there will be a draw.

Rules and Terminology

The goal of the baccarat game is to accumulate a combination of cards with a total of 9 points or as close to 9 as possible. Ace counts for one point, cards 2 through 9 count at face value, pictures and tens give zero points. If the total is 10 or more, 10 is subtracted, and the remainder is counted in the scoring. For example, 7+6=13=3 or 4+6=10=0.

The Game

The player can place a bet on the “Player” or “Bank” and/or “Tie” fields. At the beginning of the game banker and player receive two cards each. In certain cases, a third card may be given to the player, Banker or both.

The participant (player or Banker) who scores 9 points wins. The player who scored 8 points, provided that the opponent scored less, wins. A third card is possible if neither player has 8 or 9 points.

Third Card Rule

The third card rule determines when a player and/or Banker automatically receives a third card in baccarat:

– If a player scores 0 to 5 points with the first two cards, he receives a third card; if he scores more than 5 points, he does not receive one.

– If the Banker scored 0 to 4 points, he gets a third card, if more than 5 points, he does not, if the Banker has 5 points, the decision to get a third card is based on the player’s cards.

– If the player did not receive a third card, the Banker receives a third card if he has 0-5 points or stops if he has 6-7 points

– If the player receives a third card with 2 or 3, the Banker receives a third card with 0-4 points or stops if he has 5-7 points.

– If the third card player receives 4 or 5, the Banker gets the third card with 0-5 points or stops if he has 6-7 points.

– If the third card player receives a 6 or 7, the Banker gets a third card with 0-6 points or stops if he has 7 points.

– If the third card player receives an 8, the Banker gets a third card with 0-2 points or stops if he has 3-7 points.

– If the third card player receives an Ace, 9, 10, or “multiples”, the Banker gets the third card with 0-3 points or stops if he has 4-7 points.

In the end, the Bet on the participant who scores more points wins (that is, if the dealer scores more, the Banker wins, if less, the player wins). In case of a tie, the Bet on the Player and the Bank is returned, the bet “Tie” wins.

There are several variations of video poker games, but all the rules in them come down to the same principle. The main ones are:

The deal is made from a single deck of 52 cards. Or 56 if the deck contains jokers;

When you press the “deal” button, 5 cards are dealt with you;

You can also choose the cards you want to keep and press the “hold” button. The cards not selected will be discarded;

Similar to Texas poker, there are nine winning combinations in video poker;

The process of playing video poker takes place in two stages. In the first, you leave the cards with the best suit. And in the second, you make a substitution of cards with a low rank.

In doing so, it is important to collect one of the poker combinations, as the game’s main goal is to collect cards of high rank, which can counter the card combination of the opponent.

It is the most popular card game, the goal of which is to win bets by assembling the highest possible poker combination using 4, 2, or 5 cards, or by forcing all opponents to stop participating in the game. The game is played with all or partially covered cards.

Poker is a very interesting dynamic game that combines mathematical calculation and psychology despite the simple rules.

Rules and Terminology

Texas Hold’em is the simplest and most popular form of poker today. It is essentially classic poker, where each poker player begins the game with two closed (“pocket“) cards – this is one of the basic rules of poker. This is followed by four rounds of dealing, during which the five open standard cards that form the “board” are dealt, and bets are placed.

The Dealer is determined before the cards are dealt; after each hand, the Dealer will change from right to left. The first two players to the left of the Dealer then place blinds.

After the blinds are set, the cards are dealt with the players (two cards each) that only the Dealer can see. Then the first series of bidding begins.

The player sitting after the big blind starts the bidding. He can skip his turn, fold cards, raise the Bet or call the maximum Bet on the table.

Then the right to move is passed to the next player clockwise until the big blind or all bets on the table are tied.

Then the Flop is placed on the table.

Here you can see your hand and roughly understand your opponents’ hand, as well as decide if it’s worth playing and negotiating.

The bidding is the same as the first time, with the only difference being that the bidding starts with the player who bet the small blind, and if he’s out of the game, the next player after him.

Then the fourth card-turn is placed on the table.

All actions in the bidding are repeated.

Then the fifth card-river is laid out.

Now you can see exactly what combination you have in your hand, but do not forget that the combination can be made only with 5 cards.

Bidding proceeds in the same way as in previous cases, only after all players level the stakes, the players’ cards are opened and the winner is determined.

If all players have Folded, the pot goes to the player who was the last to bet or the last one to stay in the game.

Also, remember that at any moment of the game, when it is your turn, you can go all-in and then all other players have to equal your Bet or also go all-in. If you went all-in in any auctions except the last, then in the following auctions, you do not make bets and wait for the cards to be opened.

Online Casino

The gaming portal must meet the following requirements:

  • has good reviews and reputation on the Internet;
  • availability of a gaming portal with a valid license, information about which is available to all users;
  • provides players with the conditions of the game with any capital;
  • the availability of a huge database of games;
  • multilingual site;
  • high attendance of the game site;
  • the ability to deposit and withdraw funds by users from all countries;
  • quality and prompt technical support.

License

Any online casino must have a license. The license is necessary to conduct gambling activities on a legal basis. And also, the presence of a permit certainly affects the players’ credibility.

But in many countries, casinos are prohibited, so often gambling companies are registered in offshore countries. For example, many well-known casinos are licensed in Costa Rica, Curacao, the UK and other similar countries. Unfortunately, jurisdiction, not all countries allow you to check the fact of the license, because there is no online resource where you can make an online request. The exceptions are the UK, Gibraltar and Malta, where the document is checked on a specialized website.

Variety of games

An equally important criterion when choosing an online casino is the range of games available on the site. The more games the site provides to its users, the more interesting it becomes. Therefore, having a large number of games indirectly confirms the high attendance of the online institution.

In numbers, the minimum range of games for a good casino is at least 500 machines. In this case, the slot machine providers should be known developers such as NetEnt, Playtech, Microgaming and others.

As for the variety of games, there should also be a choice. Game offerings should not be limited to “fruit” and “three axes.” At a minimum, a casino should have:

  • slot machines;
  • card games, chief among which are poker and baccarat;
  • roulette;
  • sports betting.

Players must access the games in two modes: demo and real.

Bonus offers and Special promotions

Criteria for selecting online casinos will be the loyalty of the gambling establishment to the customers. At a minimum, the service must offer users the following list of bonuses:

  • welcome bonus for registration;
  • promotions for free moves in the slots;
  • bonuses for activity in the casino;
  • cash bonuses for attracting friends;
  • VIP bonuses for customers with large deposits.

Customer support

No matter how good the online casino service is, sooner or later, you will have to contact technical support. Therefore, it is important to write to technical support as soon as you register on the site. This way, you can assess the adequacy of managers and the time of their response.

It is desirable to have a live chat button on the website to connect you with a technical support specialist instantly. Of course, technical support through the system of tickets is also possible. But it will be a big plus if the managers of online casinos can contact the hotline.

Mobile Options

The mobile application is also available at the casino is an important factor. However, not all casinos have developed applications. But having a browser-based version for PC and mobile versions allows you to play the casino the same way on your desktop computer, tablet and cell phone. It’s very nice to play your favourite games on your phone wherever you are. That’s why you should pay attention to this as well.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Deposit and withdrawal – the most important criterion for choosing an online casino related to the casino’s financial component. Analyzing this parameter, it is essential to know the following information:

  • The minimum amount of deposits and withdrawals;
  • The maximum amount of deposits and withdrawals;
  • The maximum time it takes to withdraw funds;
  • payment systems the playground works with;
  • the currency of the country in which payments are accepted.
  • Before you start using online casinos – it’s essential to check the withdrawal button. Because if this is a fraudulent site, the portal administrator can not provide a button, or it will be inactive.

Not unimportant is the lack of commissions on the withdrawal of funds.

Land-Based Casino

As for land-based casinos, everything is much simpler. There are directly gambling establishments where people come to play gambling games. These can be various games of preference: slots, Roulette, poker, craps, baccarat, lotteries, blackjack, various tournaments and sports betting.

Nevertheless, land-based casinos can in no way compare to online casinos, for example, in their special atmosphere. Because besides gambling the casino also offers a variety of snacks, drinks and great shows with famous performers, tournaments among players, a variety of prizes, jackpots and much more.

Location

When considering the location of land-based casinos, players often choose either a nearby location or prefer famous and mountainous houses with a good reputation. In principle, there are not many casinos in the Netherlands; more of them, however, are online casinos. Nevertheless, in the Netherlands, too, you can have a good time, as in the U.S. or Canada in the casinos. If you are a guest, for example, in Amsterdam or the country in general, you will consider casinos along with your hotel for your convenience. Also, when choosing a casino, players pay attention to a lot of additional services and services that casinos offer: holding various promotions, chattels, holding shows, availability of restaurants and bars, stores, spas, parking, fitness centers and more.

Games and Poker Rooms

As mentioned before, any casino has sectors for card games, poker rooms, slot machines, card games, and Roulette. All this is done for the convenience and comfort of visitors. Also, it allows players to navigate the institution easily.

Some casinos have rules that provide earlier registration or booking for poker games. Also, large casinos hold poker tournaments among players.

Service personnel

When choosing a land-based casino, also pay attention to service and staff. After all, most players come to the casino for recreation and entertainment. Therefore, all casino staff must be as polite and attentive as possible and show a high level of skill and professionalism. The dealers in the casino must adhere to the rules of the game, Roulette or poker, for example, behave politely and with restraint. Also, the Dealer must maintain a conversation with the client, explain the rules of the game, to ensure that customers follow the casino rules. After all, you can often hear from the reviews of visitors to this or that establishment that the staff is rude, slow, disrespectful, etc.

Therefore, most of the casinos in the institutions strictly enforce that the staff comply with the rules and regulations of the institution itself.

The same goes for the service staff in restaurants, bars, hotel or parking lot, security services – all of these make up the real casino, so the establishment should remain an enjoyable experience and positive emotions.

Promotions

Promotions and a variety of draws, daily, weekly and monthly jackpots, various tournaments with good winnings, conducting promotions among VIP participants in the casino – this and much more only attract visitors’ attention to land-based casinos.

Each casino has its bonus offers. Not particularly large mountain ladies raffle off a variety of sums and prizes trips to the resort, free accommodation in a hotel room at the casino, discounts on restaurants, as well as extra money to play slot machines, for example.

Large institutions with a good reputation among VIP players can raffle off expensive cars, watches, free trips to luxury resorts, airline tickets, business class, yacht trips, cruises and much more.

It is through constant raffles and promotions that the casino not only raises its rating but also increases the number of customers and visitors to its institution.

Useful Tips For Beginners

Before starting any game, it is necessary to check its rules with the Dealer. As you can see from this article, despite the general similarity, there are variations of poker, Roulette, and blackjack that you need to know and understand not to play a losing game. That’s why the basic rules of the games should be known.

It’s also worth memorizing the terminology generally used in casinos during the game.

For example, when playing blackjack, you can tap the table with your finger or scrape the table with the edge of the cards to get enough. Instead of “enough,” you can put chips on the cards (picture down). Then, for a split, add another bet and spread the cards apart.

Know when to get up and walk away

Do not play drunkenly – you will lose money Remember that you can lose all your money, so don’t win back if you lose; there is a risk of losing all your money.
